Pallme Family
|
Palme-Mahl This family set up in 1724 in Parchen (near Steinschönau) the world oldest lighting factory (crystal chandeliers). In 1945, they had to move to West Germany. Maria Theresia Pallme-Tausch, daughter of my ancestor Johan Franz (born in 1698), married Joseph Palme-Mahl in 1769. At the beginning of the 19th century this Clan changed the name from Pallme to Palme. In the 19th century (1825), a lady of this family (Anna Fraziska Pallme-Mahl) married Sebastian Vincent Palme, a member of the Pisa line of my family (Pallme-Tausch). Harry Palme (-Mahl), a descendant of Elias Palme, wrote in 1951 an interesting book about Steinschönau (Geschichten aus Steinschönau) For further information about members of this clan and their activity, see also Glass production.
